Kate Moss in rehab clinic - Sep 29, 2005

Well Kate Moss has taken the PR people's advice and checked herself into rehab. Is there any chance it will work this time when it hasn't before? Nope...

Recovering from addiction is about more than just getting the drugs out of your system, it's about changing your environment. She hasn't indicated any willingness to give up hanging around the other drug abusers within her circle of friends (or even her drug-abusing boyfriend), and without that she will end up using again because she's already shown she doesn't have the desire or ability to resist the temptation.

It makes for good PR, but the reality is that she isn't making a real attempt at cleaning up her act. She's playing the game like she's done time and time before: hoping that a stint in a rehab clinic will clean up her image. Amazingly enough, there are already companies getting in line to sign her up...

The more things change, the more they stay the same...It just proves that the industry doesn't take it any more seriously than she does...
