Garbo gets stamp of approval from U.S., Sweden
To commemorate Greta Garbo's 100th birthday, the U.S. Postal Service and Swedish Post will be issuing commemorative stamps to honor the late actress. She died 15 years ago, yet interest in her remains high.
She left acting behind at age 36 and never made another movie. Many of today's actresses such as Diane Lane and the like are just seeing their careers take off as they reached that age.
It just goes to show that true celebrity survives even beyond the grave. Something that would be good to remember for those of today's celebrities who waste their talent, beauty and fame without a care for the legacy they have the opportunity to leave behind...
