Hearty congrats to Nicolas Cage and his wife, Alice Kim, on the healthy birth of their bouncing baby boy, Kal-el.

Now Kal-el might seem like an odd name to you, because it certainly did to me. The article explains that it's the given name of Superman on his home planet of Krypton.

...Umm...Well...the best thing I can say about that is that it certainly gives the boy a lofty name to live up to...
