Britney sues over sex tape story

There's more than one way to make money from a sex tape: you can sue for $10 million. Britney Spears is suing Us Weekly magazine over a story they printed that said she and Kevin Freeloader made a sex tape and were worried that it would become public.

One way or the other, she's set to make a fortune off the story. If there is a tape, it would likely outsell the Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton tapes by a large margin. If there isn't, she'll have a fat $10 million to figure out how to keep Freeloader's hands off of.

On the other hand, it's hard to argue that Britney's reputation has been harmed by the rumor of such a tape. All the magazine would have to do is point out all the stuff that's verifiably true about how she's conducted herself over the last two years and that might be all the defense they need...
