Congrats to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes on their engagements.

I have two thoughts on the subject:

1) One of the definite perks of celebrity is that when you want to propose, it's nice to be able to have the cash to fly your girlfriend to the Eiffel Tower to do it, and

2) Many of the people who have been tut-tutting this relationship because of the age difference are the same ones who think it's great that Demi Moore is seeing . What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If the two of them are happy, then more power to them.
